Amazon Music Increase its Catalog to 100M Songs for Members

Amazon Music is gearing up for a huge content expansion. Soon, members will have access to the full catalog of Amazon's catalog, more than 100 million songs. They'll also be able to stream ad-free and listen to their favorite podcasts.

Prime members are eligible for a free trial of Amazon Music Unlimited. The service includes an on-demand catalog with more than 100 million songs in HD quality. It also includes an expanding selection of songs in Ultra HD and spatial audio. Amazon Music Unlimited also supports Dolby Atmos soundbars.

The catalog is constantly growing, with new songs being added every day. The company has stated that the 100 millionth song it adds to its catalog may be an unreleased song by a new artist. Apple Music has been around for a long time, and has added over 50 million songs to its service.

The music industry has taken notice of Amazon Music's move. On March 6, the Copyright Royalty Board, an obscure board under the Library of Congress, issued a long-awaited ruling allowing the company to increase performance royalties for songs streamed on the internet. Moreover, the decision made payments equal for commercial and non-commercial sites.

Among the music streaming services, Spotify is the most well-known and popular. Its new Discover Weekly playlist allows members to discover new artists. The service has also increased its focus on non-music content, such as podcasts. Despite this, some of its popular artists have removed their music from the service.
