Phone Link and More Features and Improvement Added to New Microsoft Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 25231

In its Insider Preview, Microsoft has added a new feature that allows Windows 11 users to connect to their mobile hotspot directly from their PCs. This new feature is called Phone Link, and it is designed to eliminate the need to enter passwords every time you want to connect to your mobile hotspot. This new feature has previously only been available on Samsung devices, but Microsoft is aiming to expand it to other devices in the future.

The new Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 25231 comes with a few bug fixes and minor changes, and includes the Phone Link app. The Phone Link app helps you instantly connect to your phone's hotspot and is available on select Samsung devices running One UI 4.1.1 or higher. The feature is now automatic, so you won't have to remember to do it manually.



The latest Insider Preview build 25231 is now available for download from the Dev Channel. It includes a number of bug fixes and improvements, and includes a new feature called Phone Link that allows users to connect to their phone's hotspot instantly. In addition, this build also fixes bugs in the Settings app and updates the look and feel of the Taskbar. Additionally, it adds a button for notifications and a new feature called Quick Settings.

Windows 11 is the first version of Windows to support Phone Link. The Phone Link app connects Windows PCs to Android smartphones via Bluetooth, so users can use their phone as an internet hotspot without having to use a separate hotspot device. Users can then select the Phone Link app in the PC's list of available Wi-Fi networks, and connect instantly. Unlike the previous versions of Windows, this feature works instantly, without the need to log in and enter a password.

Microsoft has begun rolling out an Insider Build of Windows 11 on its Dev Channel. This build brings the much-anticipated feature called Phone Link, which will allow Windows 11 users to connect to their phone's hotspot via a phone link. Currently, this feature only supports select Android devices, but it will eventually roll out to the general public.
