Sony Alpha 7R V - First High Resolution AI Driven Camera

Sony Introduces New Alpha 7R V First High Resolution AI Driven Mirrorless Camera

The new Sony Alpha 7R V features a dedicated AI processing chip that enables the camera to recognize different subject types. It can also recognize specific poses using 20 tracked points. It also has a four-axis gesture-responsive touchscreen. The camera also offers a full-frame 61MP Exmor CMOS sensor that boasts high resolution, low noise, and a 15-stop dynamic range.

The Sony Alpha 7R V maintains the 61-megapixel resolution of its predecessor, but adds a dedicated AI processing unit and deep learning technology. It will be available in November for $6,199. The AI processing system is said to improve subject detection and autofocus accuracy. It can also estimate human poses.

The camera is also equipped with an eye-tracking feature. This allows it to track a subject's eye, head, and body, which means you can take better pictures of people or animals. It also has the capability of tracking an object, such as a car or an airplane, when it is in motion.

The A7R V is also equipped with an improved in-body image stabilization system, with up to eight stops of compensation. It can also shoot in compressed RAW format and has a buffer capacity of 583 shots. Other features of the A7R V include a 9.44-million-dot EVF, dual card slots, and support for UHS-II and CFexpress Type A cards. Moreover, the camera is compatible with tripods.

The camera also features new improvements in video quality, including the ability to shoot in 8K at 24/25p or 4K oversampled from 6.2K without binning. Another feature is the ability to capture 8K video in low light conditions. Its new advanced Auto White Balance system is also more accurate, allowing you to take better pictures even in the dark.

Another new feature of the Sony a7R V is its new Main section, which has a list of shooting settings. This feature is derived from the FX3/FX30 cinema line and minimizes the cluttered menu experience, making it easier to find the settings you need.

With a new AI processing unit, the A7R V can recognize a wide variety of subjects. For example, in addition to recognizing human subjects, it is also able to identify animals and vehicles. It even understands human faces and eyes behind sunglasses.

With a new 61MP sensor and advanced video capabilities, the Alpha 7R V can also shoot 8K video and has 15-stop dynamic range. Its image processing system uses an 'AI processing unit' chip to make autofocus smarter. This allows it to track subject movement and auto-focus whole bodies.

The A7R V is a $3,900 full-frame mirrorless camera that is optimized for shooting subjects requiring high resolution. It features a BIONZ XR image processing processor that has more power than its predecessor, and it also offers better AI autofocus and shake reduction. The camera also supports 8K video at up to 24 fps.
