MediaTek's new T800 modem can hit 7.9Gbps download speeds and 4.2Gbps upload speeds. It also supports sub-6GHz and mmWave 5G connectivity. It features five-generation UltraSave power-efficiency solutions to help extend battery life and a thin design based on a 4nm manufacturing node.

The MediaTek T800 modem is a thin and power-efficient device that can deliver up to 7.9Gbps download speeds. It also features 3GPP Release-16 5G cellular modem technology, dual 5G SIM, and GNSS receivers. It can be used in mobile hotspots, wireless access routers, laptops, and vehicles.


It also has the Pentonic 1000 chipset, which can support 4K/120p video across the world. It also supports ATSC 3.0, HEVC, VP9, VVC, and Dolby Atmos immersive sound. All of these features mean that this device is ideal for 4K gaming and streaming. Its battery life is maximized too, as it supports both Wi-Fi 6 and 6E connectivity.

Apart from the new T800 modem, MediaTek also announced two new laptops based on Arm-based chipsets, Kompanio 520 and Kompanio 528. Both the new laptops offer high performance, high battery life, and Google Play applications. They also have dual-core CPUs, which boosts battery life.
