The Okaya Freedum electric scooter is powered by a 250W BLDC hub motor, has a top speed of 25 km/h, and a range of about 70-80 km on a single charge. Its battery, which runs on 48V 30 Ah lithium-ion, takes between four and five hours to fully recharge. The scooter also comes with a digital console and LED headlamps with DRLs. It is equipped with forward and reverse gears, a locking system, and a battery charger.
The company is also introducing a range of new products in the Indian market in the near future. It has over 120 dealerships in the country, and plans to open around 800 in the next 12 months. The Freedum will be in direct competition with the Hero iQ, Bajaj Chetak, and the TVS iQube. Moreover, the company continues to expand its network and has added 120 dealers in the past two months.
